1. Bangbang Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of shelled shrimp
  • Half cup of mayonnaise
  • 3-5 drops of hot chili sauce
  • ¼ cup of Thai sweet chili sauce
  • ½ to ¾ cup of cornstarch

Directions

  • Start by mixing sauces and mayo for coating.
  • Use cornstarch to bread shrimp.
  • Start fat-frying the shrimp until it turns light brown.
  • Use paper towel to drain and then put shrimp in a bowl. Coat it with the sauce.
  • Use lettuce lined bowl to serve. Top with chopped scallions.

2. Corn Chowder with Lump Crab

Ingredients

  • 1 russet potato, cubed and peeled
  • 5 slices of bacon
  • Half onion, chopped
  • 6 ounce of crabmeat
  • Half teaspoon of parsley flakes
  • 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1 cube of chicken bouillon
  • ¼ cup of dry white wine
  • 1 ½ cups of milk
  • 15 ounces of creamed corn

Directions

  • Use plastic wrap to wrap your potato cubes and then microwave it for 30 seconds. Take it out and set aside.
  • Start cooking your bacon over medium heat and add chopped onions as well.
  • Keep cooking until onions are clear. Stir in parsley flakes and crabmeat. Set it aside as well.
  • Take a large stockpot to melt butter over low heat.
  • Now, whisk in all-purpose flour until you get a creamy mixture. Cook for a few more minutes and stir in wine.
  • Take the milk and dissolve your chicken bouillon in it.
  • Whisk in the milk when the flour mixture is crumbly. Mix well to ensure there are no lumps.

  • Simmer for about 10 minutes and add 2tbsp of a creamy curry variation to flour mixture.

3. Maryland Crab Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of crabmeat
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 slices of white bread with crusts trimmed
  • A tbsp each of mayonnaise, butter, and Old Bay Seasoning TM
  • A tsp of Dijon-style prepared mustard
  • A tsp of Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Remove pieces of shell from the crabmeat and make small pieces of bread. Place them both in a bowl.
  • Add mayonnaise, egg, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and Old Bay seasoning in the bowl.
  • Use your hand to mix all the ingredients – make sure to keep the lumps of meat intact.
  • Form 6 small cakes.
  • Take a skillet and heat 2 tbsp of butter in it.
  • Fry cakes in the skillet until brown crust appears on both sides.
